A Prayer for Andrea's Battle

When a person touches your life in a positive way, they leave a mark on your heart forever. Andrea was brought into my life when I was recovering from my own serious health issues. I also, was in the uncertainty that I would not be back in the hospital after two major surgeries within a six month period. Andrea was fighting her own battle, but was in remission from Leukemia and still going through several surgeries to hopefully restore her version that had left her almost blind from the Leukemia. When we first met, you would never of known her inner battles. She was excited for her upcoming wedding to J. We seemed to talk for ever about all of her dreams about the big day. It was not till close to the end of the meeting that she told me of her battle. Learning of what I had been going through at the same time, Andrea and Kathy(her mom) knew I was the perfect match for her wedding. I think it was comforting for both of us to have someone understand the battles we were going through even though they were two total different issues. Andrea was such a stunning bride when she married J on July 28th 2007. Shortly after Andrea wed, she had to start a new battle and was readmitted to MD Anderson. Recently she released from MD Anderson after an 81 day stay. At her one week check up, she was readmitted and the next night to ICU. Please pray for Andrea that she will leave ICU and the hospital soon. Kathy has been a true inspiration to everyone as she looks for the positive through this trying times.
